We are supporting East Cheshire practices to develop a GP Activity and Demand reporting system akin to the OPEL (Operational Pressures Escalation Levels) systems in place around the country that highlight where in the System the pressure points are regarding capacity and the ability to deliver services.
To do this we’re working alongside colleagues at Place level to ensure we create a regular report that can represent the pressures in General Practice, ensuring that Primary Care’s voice is heard at system-level discussions.
In Cheshire we use Apex to generate data focussing on four key areas:
· Patient Population
· Population Health
· Appointment Activity
Data is collected at Practice, PCN and Place level and summarised centrally with supporting commentary prior to sharing with all parties.
